Computers stolen from mining company in Las Condes

The truck the suspects had been using to flee the scene crashed into a tree, allowing police to capture on of the assailants.

SANTIAGO.-  Three individuals reportedly took computers from the offices of a mining company located on Calle Presidente Riesco, in the Municipality of Las Condes.


The break-in took place after the suspects managed to steal a truck in Municipality of Providencia.


After committing the robbery in Las Condes, the assailants fled as neighbors became aware of the incident and began throwing stones at them.


According to Radio Cooperativa, the thieves drove the wrong way down one-way street San Clemente, subsequently crashing into a tree on the roadway.


Police were able to capture one of the suspects, identified as 18 year-old Joshua Estrada, and are still searching for the other individuals involved.
