SANTIAGO.- The president of the association of parents and legal guardians at Liceo Darío Salas –where controversial student María Música Sepúlveda studies- Marisol Morales, has declared that the principal of the educational establishment will strictly adhere the school’s internal regulations in order to determine a punishment for the young girl.
Even if she is not allowed to be expelled, Morales stated that school authorities have not ruled out the possibility of canceling the girl’s registration, since “whatever measure that will be taken will be decided on at the teacher’s council”.
Morales indicated that there is a significant amount of parents that not only support canceling the girl’s registration, but would also like to see the same sanction applied to all students belonging to the movement.
The head of the parents´association also claimed that the group disapproves of the act of aggression Sepúlveda showed towards the Minister of Education but asserted, “we haven’t received a great deal of support concerning the topic of a possible permanent sanction for Música”.
A definitive date has still not been set for the teachers´council meeting, however the president of the association of parents and legal guardians stated that she expects the session to be held either today or tomorrow.
