VALPARAISO.- A Nigerian fugitive, identified as 32 year-old Víctor Omoregle, was arrested by Valparíso Police Investigations officers at a downtown motel in the port city.
Omoregle, originally from Nigeria, had entered the country illegally five years ago and has been micro trafficking dugs ever since – prompting police to mount and intense search for him.
In fact, the man had a dozen warrants issued for his arrest, both in the northern and central parts of the country, for various crimes including theft, armed robbery and forgery.
International Police and the Department of Immigration had been following Omoregle for quite some time, however the man’s constant moving from house to house and lock changes assisted him in eluding capture.
Omoregle was finally located in the Fifth Region after checking into the Hotel Puerto Valparaíso with a woman. After the woman had left the motel room, police moved in to arrest Omoregle.
