Los Libertadores pass closed due to intensive snowfall

SANTIAGO.- Authorities have ordered the closing of the Los Libertadores border crossing due to the poor weather that has affected the mountain range.

The measure was put into effect at 8:00am this morning and applies to all types of vehicles.

According to the National Emergency Office (Onemi), the motive for the closing was the intensive snowfall in the Los Libertadores sector.

For now, the front of bad weather is expected to continue in the mountainous zone.
