Bachelet announces National Holiday bonus for pension fund reform beneficiaries

SANTIAGO.- President Michelle Bachelet announced today that the beneficiaries of the new pension reform will receive a $11,664 peso “National Holiday” bonus per person during the month of September, as well as a $6,005 peso bonus for every dependent member of the family.

“For all of those who are already receiving the new pension plan, and for those who are going to receive it, a National Holiday bonus of $11,664 pesos will also be distributed to each beneficiary of the reform, along with a $6,005 peso bonus for each dependent member of the family that is eligible”, stated the President.

During the inauguration of the Gerontology Center in the municipality of El Bosque, Bachelet added, “I hope to make (September) a bit cozier in the face of the international economic difficulties that we have been facing”.

The President also said that during September, the beneficiaries of the pension reform would receive $180,000 pesos since the July and August pensions would be paid along with that of September.
