Madonna confirms concert in Chile

SANTIAGO.- The long wait is finally over: today Madonna confirmed her upcoming concert in Chile. The queen of pop herself verified the official tour date by listing it on her web page, which is the only place authorized to substantiate the show as part of her "Sticky & Sweet Tour".

At www.madonna.com, the performance appears scheduled for December 10th at the Estadio Nacional. Tickets will be pre-sold as of midnight on August 27th with her most dedicated fans gaining first purchase priority.

Live Nation, the company representing the artist, is in charge of making sure this is the case. Contact is being made with fans that are registered in the official Madonna fan club, known as "Icon", on the website. Admission to the fan club was closed in April, sealing the window of opportunity to take advantage of the pre-sale benefit.

For members of the fan club, tickets will go on sale three to five days before they go on sale for the general public. While tickets will become available for the general public over the Internet starting at midnight on September 10th, they will not be sold by telephone until 10:00 AM that same day; until 11:00 AM in stores and will be available at noon on September 10th at box offices.

Official prices for the tickets have still not been announced.
