Copper makes a comeback at London Metal Exchange

The red metal climbed 0.29% to $3.46908 US dollars per pound.

LONDON.- Copper closed with a 0.29% gain today at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for $3.46908 US dollars per pound of "grade A" material, compared to the USD$ 3.45910 price observed on Wednesday and USD$ 3.43868 on Tuesday.


As a result, the monthly average rose to USD$ 3.46603, while the yearly average dropped to USD$ 3.67283.


Meanwhile, the future-3-month price ended at USD$ 3.44277 per pound, up 0.38% from Wednesday (USD$ 3.42961).


At the LME, stocks increased by 2,200 metric tons to 170,050.
