LONDON.- Copper closed with a 1.85% loss today at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for $USD 3.34343 per pound of "grade A" material, compared to $USD 3.40648 on Friday and $USD 3.46908 on Thursday of last week.
As a result, the monthly average was reported at $USD 3.34343 while the yearly average slipped to $USD 3.66931.
Meanwhile, the future-3-month price ended at $USD 3.33844 per pound, down 1.21% from Friday ($USD 3.37926).
At the LME, stocks rose by 350 metric tons, to 173,725.
