SANTIAGO.- Beginning at 9:00 AM today, the players for the Chilean national soccer team, chosen by Marcelo Bielsa, began to arrive at the Juan Pinto Durán Sports Complex.  Many of of the athletes were returning to "la Roja", while others were players who continued to prove themselves within the national team: Humberto Suazo and Claudio Bravo are the only two who have participated as starters in all six matches played up until now.

One of the most recent names to be added to the roster is that of Mark González, who was scheduled to be a left-field starter for the upcoming matches against Brazil and Colombia.

The former Universidad Católica player, who currently plays on the Spanish team Betis, suffered a torn muscle that could keep him out of the games. Upon arriving at the Pudahuel aiport however, González said that he prefers to have the opinion confimed by team doctors.

"I arrived well, but a little sad because I am injured. I will undergo exams in order to gain a better idea as to the extent of the injury. I didn't play with my team due to this, I have a torn muscle, but we'll see how bad it is", he stated.

González, who has played four matches in the qualifying games, insisted that he hopes to play, at the very least, in the match against Colombia: "I hope that the injury is not too serious", he said.
