SANTIAGO.- Chile and Brazil are set to face off this Sunday at 9:00 PM in the Estadio Nacional during the seventh event of the South American Qualifying Matches for the World Cup in South Africa.
Today, at precisely 8:55 AM, the first members of the national team began to arrive at the Juan Pinto Durán Complex, where "la Roja" will train throughout the week to prepare for the transcendental confrontation.
At the end of the practice, the players will be allowed to go home before resuming a double practice session tomorrow, Tuesday, starting at 10:00 AM.
For today, all players scheduled for the matches against Brazil and Colombia are expected to arrive for practice, except for winger Matías Fernández, who will join the team tomorrow.
Additionally, despite his arrival in Chile this morning, it has been confirmed that forward Mark González continues to suffer from a torn muscle and will be examined sometime today by the club's medical team to determine the extent of his injury and whether he will be fit to participate in the qualifying matches.
Today, the National Federation of Professional Football announced that the players would not be speaking to the press and indicated that the first press conference has been scheduled for tomorrow between 12:30 and 1:00 PM.
