SANTIAGO.- Reversing the tendency for the first time since the start of the TVN program "Great Chileans", votes for former President Salvador Allende have surpassed Pacific War hero Arturo Prat in the elections today.
On the webpage for the controversial election, Allende has accumulated 33.28% of the preference, while the deceased lawyer and captain has lost ground with 33.21% of the vote.
This information was confirmed by the station, clarifying that these numbers correspond to the preferences of the public, and not to the intervention of third parties. At the end of July, the site was entered by a hacker who tipped the scales towards Prat.
"The change was observed this morning", explained TVN, adding that at that very moment "Prat is beginning to gain ground again in the online vote".
Following Allende and Prat are Alberto Hurtado (11.99%), Víctor Jara (5.82%) and Manuel Rodríguez (3.27%).
