SANTIAGO.- Following last night's match against Brazil at the Estadio Nacional, the Chilean national soccer team set off to the Juan Pinto Durán sports complex to continue practicing for the upcoming 8th qualifying match for the 2008 World Cup in South Africa.
The team has left last night's defeat on the field, focusing now on the crucial confrontation this Wednesday against Colombia's national team, led by Jorge Luis Pinto, which has already arrived in Chile.
The game will be a vital match for both teams, who are currently tied in 5th place (in the playoffs) on the positions table. With 10 points, both groups are only four points away from the lead spot (held by Paraguay), meaning that a victory would leave the winning team competing for a direct spot.
The results will be known to the world on Wednesday, after the 22nd match between the two national teams, of which Chile has won 15.
