SANTIAGO.- The dream of Chilean Madonna fans to actually see her live is becoming more and more real. At 9:50 AM this morning, ticket sales were opened to the general public, prompting some die-hard fans to spend the night waiting in order to secure their entrance to the show.

The first in line to by a ticket was 22 year-old Daniela Villagra, who shelled out 450 thousand pesos for three VIP tickets. Excited and shedding tears of joy, she said that she had been waiting at the stadium since 10:30 PM yesterday.

"Well a good part of my salary went to this, but anything for Madonna. It is a kind of excitement that you can't imagine", stated Villagra.

To maintain order at the ticket sales, fans were allowed to enter the box office in groups of five. The majority of those who purchased tickets paid for them in cash.

The other box office for tickets to Madonna's show is located at Parque Arauco.
