SANTIAGO.- The arraignment hearing for a former Army child psychologist, Marcela Marín Cerda, who is accused of sexually molesting a 14 year-old boy in the municipality of Pedro Aguirre Cerda, has been rescheduled for October 2nd.
The decision to postpone the hearing was made this morning at the session originally scheduled for the woman's arraignment, but she did not arrive on account of not having been properly notified.
According to what was stated at the session, the boy was repeatedly molested on several occasions between the end of 2006 and the beginning of this year, when the defendant had allegedly been having intercourse with him.
The information was presented at the hearing by Prosecutor César Flores, who relayed the results of a psychological exam performed on the boy.
In addition to the sexual abuse charges, the woman is also accused of forging a public document after sending threatening letters that were supposedly signed by members of the Army and possessed official stamps.
