LONDON.- Copper closed with a 1.33% gain today at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for US$ 3.14430 per pound of "grade A" material, compared to US$ 3.10303 on Tuesday and US$ 3.12026 on Monday.
Nevertheless, the monthly average dropped to US$ 3.20571, while the yearly average slipped to US$ 3.63781.
Meanwhile, the future-3-month price ended at US$ 3.12344 per pound, up 1.34% from Tuesday (US$ 3.08216).
At the LME, stocks fell by 1,350 metric tons to 203,975.
