President Bachelet confirms new stadium for Calama

SANTIAGO.- Good news for Calama. The President of the Republic, Michelle Bachelet, has confirmed today that the city located in the Second Region of the country will have a new stadium.

"Along with being a crucial pillar for the development of the country due to copper production, it is also a city that has awarded Chile many athletic triumphs", stated the President.

"That is why we want the stadium there to be brought up to par with the many honors that have been won in its name. Calama will be included among the facilities that we will repair. We will have to perform a study", she explained.

Bachelet added that "we must acknowledge the athletic glory of Cobreloa and Calama".
