"Super Classic" match inches closer: 5,000 tickets have already been sold

Fans have been snapping up tickets left and right even though the confrontation between Colo Colo and the Universidad de Chile isn't scheduled until Sunday, October 5th.

SANTIAGO.- The match between Colo Colo and the Universidad de Chile that is scheduled to be held on October 5th at the Monumental Stadium as the 15th event of the Clausura tournament, will determine the winner of the regular phase.


Even though the match is still 10 days away, fans have already begun buying tickets and, according to the National Association of Professional Football, some 5 thousand tickets have already been sold.


"During last week, when we put the first tickets on sale, five thousand were sold at the four Monumental Stadium ticket offices, as well as by way of the Feriaticket system, with sales points located at all Feria del Disco record stores", the head of Chilean football asserted yesterday.


Tickets will continue to be sold at the Macul athletic complex and also through the Feriaticket system while, beginning on Monday, September 29th, Universidad de Chile fans will be able to purchase their tickets at four National Stadium offices that will be operating near Avenida Grecia.


For U. de Chile fans, 5,500 tickets will be offered in the Magallanes and Galvarino sectors, at a price of $6,000 pesos.
