SANTIAGO.- The forward for the Chilean national soccer team, Humberto Suazo, has not been confirmed for the upcoming match between his team (Monterrey) and Los Jaguares de Chiapas –led by captain Ismael Fuentes- which is scheduled for this Saturday at the Estadio Tecnológico.

Everardo Valdez, the Head of Media and Communication for the Mexican club, announced that the player had an MR performed on his left knee and was not seriously injured, although he may not be fit to play at the next match.

"(Suazo) was given an MR and the results indicate that there is no serious injury, that what he has is swelling in the medial ligament of his left leg", Valdez states on the team's official website.

According to the report issued by the Monterrey medical team, the former Colo Colo forward will need to participate in rehabilitation exercises for three to five days, meaning he should not have any problem participating in the upcoming qualifying matches against Ecuador and Argentina.
