SANTIAGO.- The up and coming Chilean music duo "1945" has just announced a new gig in their trip to the top. The group was formed in the United States by brothers Arturo and Héctor Fontaine, who now live in Chile and have just had one of their songs included in the soundtrack of an Australian television program.

The song featured is entitled "The Best is yet to Come" and is included on the group's 2007 debut album, The only way out, which was produced in Chile. The Warner Chappel production company, which manages a part of 1945's repertoire, sent the song to Australia to be incorporated on a promotional disc for the television program "Battlefronts" aired in the country.

"We are sending material from national artists ever year to other branches of the company to see if they will generate opportunities abroad", Olga Letelier, the CEO of Warner Chappell explained in a memo. "It is a very significant accomplishment for 1945 to enter Australia, since they are competing with artists on a global level", Letelier states.

"It was really incredible, almost all of the songs selected for this promotional disc were English, American, Canadian or Australian artists, who are much more well-known than we are", stated Hector Fontaine – the lead singer and bass player of 1945.
