Dell Chile accidentally offers high-capacity laptop for only 158 thousand pesos

SANTIAGO.- An incredibly tempting offer was posted for at least 8 hours on the Chilean webpage for Dell Computers, featuring a high-capacity laptop for only $158,001 pesos.

Thanks to a substantial discount of 381 thousand pesos, the Vostro 1510 portable computer, which was originally being sold for $539,001, finally came down to only $158,001 pesos, including shipment, import taxes and VAT.

The model has a 15 inch screen, a 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of RAM memory, a 250 GB hard drive and a double-layer DVD burner, among other features.

The incredible discount, however, disappeared from the page just before 9:30AM this morning and, according to several users, had been available since at least 1:00 AM this morning.

In June of this year, Dell Chile offered an Inspiron 1525 model computer for only $77,790 pesos on its webpage. Hundreds of users purchased several laptops although in the end, the company announced that there had been an error and the computers were never sent.
