SANTIAGO.- Rubén Darío Gigena's return was supposed to bring Audax Italiano back into goal-scoring mode.

The Argentine has played very little however: six games, scoring a total of three goals.

But the biggest problem for the playmaker emerged at the eighth match of the Clausura tournament, during an altercation with Colo Colo winger Rodrigo Meléndez, when Gigena spit on his opponent and was sentenced to a six-game suspension.

The six games have now passed and the former Sportivo Luqueño player will now be given another chance. Since Audax is currently down a couple of players due to injuries and Fabián Orellana's absence to play with the national team, Raúl Toro is expected to put Gigena in to play from the very start at this Thursday's match against the Universidad Católica for the Chilean Cup.

"I really want to get back in there. These six matches that I have spent out of play have taught me to not repeat the same mistake again. From now on, I am at the coach's disposal, for whatever he needs me to do", stated Gigena.
