BUENOS AIRES.- The Argentine press agreed today that Chile's 1-0 triumph over their national soccer team was well deserved and should have presented an even wider margin.

The online sports periodical "Olé" featured the headline "We are nothing" referring to Argentina's loss at the National Stadium in Santiago.

"The national team had a well-deserved loss in Santiago. Bielsa's (the Argentine coach for the Chilean national team) men were superior and they should have won by a larger difference", "Olé" adds.

The newspaper "La Nación" stated, "Argentina left behind a worrisome image in Chile".  "With no tactical identity, (Coach Alfio) Basile's team fell 1-0 to Bielsa's squad and the difference should have been even larger", it states.

The website of the newspaper "Infobae" states, "Chile danced all over Basile's team and beat them for the first time in history".

Meanwhile, the "Clarín" newspaper highlighted on its website that "the national team took one step back in Chile". "Basile's group, which had just come off of a win against Uruguay, was not able to offer up any kind of response to a very superior rival. The team was defeated by a score of 1 to 0 and the difference could have been even greater", reads the commentary.
