SANTIAGO.- Today, the Socialist Party (PS) candidate for La Florida, actor Jorge Gajardo, accused the UDI candidate for the same municipality, Gustavo Hasbun, of bullying.  Hasbún responded to the comment saying that Gajardo was a "great actor".

Gajardo has accused his contender of mounting a dirty campaign. While on Radio Cooperativa, Gajardo asked if his rival would continue to reiterate propaganda against him and keep walking "with armed people in the street".

With regards to the work that Gajardo has done at the Municipal Council of La Florida, Hasbún accused him of allowing for more supermarkets to be built and increasing illegal street sales.

"The Concertación had the ability to stop the regulation level (…). They can't come telling me now, with a message for the people, that things are going to change when the Municipal Council, not the mayor, was the one with authorization to do that", criticized the Alianza candidate.

In response to the statement, Gajardo (PS) criticized Hasbún's "legislative ignorance" assuring that the Council's agenda only includes the issues that the mayor wants to include. "It is very disorganized, and that is due to an authoritative stance on the part of the municipality", he stated.
