SANTIAGO.- The mother of two of the victims of Rafael Maureira Trujillo, a.k.a. "Zakarach" has said that she is pleased and contented by the pedophile's arrival in Chile following his extradition from Brazil and will now complete his judicial sentence in the nation.
Although the pedophile was already sentenced to 20 years in prison during a 2001 trial, it is unknown how long his sentence will be for the sexual molestation charges committed against the woman's two children.
"I am very pleased and contended that he is coming; it is what I was waiting for, for him to pay for his crime here and I am going to be more at ease knowing that he is in prison", the mother of the two children molested by Maureira told Radio Cooperativa.
The woman explained that neither of her children has concrete memories of the sexual abuse, since the pedophile kept them drugged during the episodes and they only found out that they were victims of Maureira years later.
The mother also claimed that the oldest of her children, who is now 19, is more open to talking about the matter, while her 16 year-old child remains reluctant to address the incident and remains in denial about what occurred.
