SANTIAGO.- The Chilean ambassador to Brazil, Álvaro Díaz, has stated that he is very pleased with the process performed to transfer Rafael Maureira Trujillo, a.k.a. "Zakarach" from the Campo Grande Prison to the airport, where the leader of a child-pornography ring boarded a plane to begin his trip back to Chile.

"The plane took off on time, without any problems, because there were no complications with Maureira Trujillo's transfer to the airport. There was a great deal of collaboration between the Brazilian Federal Police and the Chilean Bureau of Police Investigations, as well as significant cooperation from the Brazilian Ministry of Justice", the ambassador told Emol.

Díaz added that thanks to the team effort, the pedophile's departure from Brazil was "fast, successful and without complications".

The Chilean ambassador also indicated that there had been a large amount of security measures instated at the Campo Grando prison, but since it is a small city with only 700 thousand residents and both the prison and the airport are located outside of the urban area, "the route was relatively easy to complete".
