SANTIAGO.- Just hours before the closing of the municipal campaigns, President Michelle Bachelet celebrated the electoral propaganda process and inaugurated a press center at Estación Mapocho that will be available for use by the media this Sunday.

"With only one or two isolated exceptions, this campaigning process has been calmly performed with a reasonable amount of respect", stated the President.

The President stressed that the new voting process would have two new modifications:  assisted voting through reliable persons and assisted voting through the table monitoring president.

In the first case, a disabled voter will be allowed to enter the voting chamber with a reliable companion to issue their vote, while the second option allows a disabled voter to request the voting table president to fold and close their vote.

The new press center has 100 interview terminals for media and news agencies. There have also been sets built for six television channels, sets for seven radio stations, wifi internet connection zones, telephone and fax services, as well as 30 computers that will be available to journalists.
