Vice President expresses condolences to family of Ricardo Claro

SANTIAGO.- The Vice-president of the Republic, Edmundo Pérez Yoma, expressed his "deepest condolences" to the family of deceased business tycoon Ricardo Claro, especially mentioning his widow, María Luisa Vial.


"A very reputable, well-known man in Chilean society has passed away", stated the Vice-President.


Upon arriving at the La Moneda Presidential Palace, Pérez Yoma asserted that he had never been friends with the well-known businessman, "but we had a good relationship".


The Vice President also pointed out that Ricardo Claro was known not only for his opinions about the economy, but also for his political commentaries.


"It is an unfortunate death because it was so sudden and I offer my deepest condolences to the family", concluded Pérez Yoma.
