SANTIAGO.-  In protest of alleged poor treatment on the part of the company, as well as a lack of security measures against criminal attacks,  drivers belonging to the “troncal 4” Transantiago bus station, which is operated by the company Express, have taken over the route terminal and have prevented hundreds of people from commuting to their places of work and study.

According to Radio Cooperativa, the situation has forced passengers of the public transportation service to wait more than an hour in order to access locomotion.

The bus terminal is located at the intersection of Portales and 4 Poniente, where at least 240 buses have failed to set out on their designated routes, which travel to various sectors of the Greater Santiago area.

Faced with the ordeal, the management of the company has been taking alternate measures in an attempt to normalize the situation.
