SANTIAGO.- Officers belonging to the Organized Crime Brigade (BRICO) of the Bureau of Police Investigations seized 890 tabs of LSD valued at more than $20 million pesos last night in the middle of the Plaza de Armas of Santiago.

The raid took place close to midnight when a man and woman were stopped for prostitution after more than a month of investigations.

According to Officer Raúl Castellón, the drugs had entered the country two weeks prior from Amsterdam, Holland and the LSD had been made into small postage stamps that the suspects, who have yet to be identified, were hiding in small notebooks.

Castellón added that the drugs may have been sold at raves and outside universities to young adults of high social stratus at a price of between 15 and 25 thousand pesos per hit.

The two individuals arrested will be charged by the Central North Public Prosecutor's Office while police investigate whether more drugs entered the country on separate occasions and if there are more people involved in the crime.
