SANTIAGO.- Next Thursday, the 27th of November, Jaime Riverton, who was until today a winger for Everton, will turn 37.

Just as expected, the O'Higgins born athlete will celebrate that day, but only half-heartedly because most likely he will be without a team. The formal national team player was unable to reach an financial agreement with Everton and will be leaving the Apertura tournament champions.

"There has definitively been no agreement with Riveros; he has been ruled out because we cannot continue to wait for a response, we have to pull together a team for the Copa Libertadores", explained the president of the club, Antonio Bloise.

According to the periodical "El Mercurio de Valparaíso", "we spoke to his manager and it was impossible to cement an agreement. They told us that there were other clubs that were interested; I don't think it is appropriate for us to make a proposal".

Rubén Morales, who is Riveros' agent, declared, "they told me that the don't want him; they offered less money than he started out making this year; that shows that they are not interested in his services despite the fact that he is by far the most important player for Everton".
