SANTIAGO.- Today, during a 20 minute meeting with his players, the coach of the Universidad de Chile, Arturo Salah, announced his decision to leave the club.
Although the news has yet to be confirmed by the coach himself, after leaving the meeting the players stated that Salah would be departing from the team.
Goalkeeper Miguel Pinto was emphatic in saying “we respect his decision, I am personally very thankful to him, I have learned a lot, but he said it was better for him and the team”.
Meanwhile, the Argentine winger, Leonardo Mas, stated that “the decision will be announced by Arturo, it is not right for me to tell you what we talk about in the locker room, there is a code that needs to be respected”.
Forward Rapúl Estévez did not hide his disappointment in the resignation of the team trainer. “The truth is that I was surprised by his decision. For me, Arturo Salah is one of the best coaches I have ever had in my whole career and he could very well coach any team in the world”, Estévez asserted.
