Leonardo Farkas: "I will not be a Presidential Candidate"

SANTIAGO.– The threat of a dark horse candidate who could potentially hinder the presidential candidacies of the Concertación and Alianza is no longer. Leonardo Farkas will not waste money on his campaign to make it to La Moneda since he has ruled out running for president.

"I am not going to be a candidate for the presidency of Chile. I hope that the hundreds of thousands of people who have put their faith in me are not disappointed", announced Farkas in a video released this morning.

However, this was not the only news. After having donated billions of pesos to the Chilean Telethon, claiming that he has fulfilled his dream of making the largest donation to the fundraiser in history, Farkas asserted today that he will never again make a public donation.

"They have second guessed me, because they don't believe that good people really exist. For this reason I have decided that I will never again make a public donation to the Telethon. I will continue to do so anonymously", commented Farkas.

He went on to emphasize that he hopes this "important message" helps to eliminate "the punditry, the envy and the greed", and that it transforms the negativity into love.
