SANTIAGO.- DC Deputy Pablo Lorenzini remains hospitalized at the San Carlos de Apoquindo Clinical Hospital of the Universidad Católica in stable condition and under medical treatment. Deputy Lorenzini was admitted to the medical center yesterday due to a "myxomatous mitral valvulopathy", which is a term used to describe a situation in which the valve that separates the upper and lower left chambers of the heart does not close properly.

According to information given by the medical facility, Lorenzini may have to spend the weekend hospitalized to remain under observation.

The clinic also indicated that a medical report would likely be issued this afternoon detailing the deputy's precise health condition if any changes have been observed.

According to the medical report issued yesterday by the hospital, Lorenzini is listed in "stable and non-life threatening condition" and the diagnosis has so far remained unchanged.

In representation of the DC bench, Deputy Juan Carlos Latorre visited the clinic yesterday along with his wife Ximena and Deputy Gabriel Silber.

Meanwhile, the bench leaders, Deputies Eduardo Saffirio and Gonzalo Duarte stated today that they hope Lorenzini will make a swift recovery.

According to information offered by his party bench, hospital visitation is very restricted for Lorenzini.
