SANTIAGO.- Hoping to remain a competitive fuel option, the nation's largest distributor of natural gas, Metrogas, has announced that it will once again lower the price of hydrocarbon amid a drop of $60 pesos per kilo of liquid gas that has been announced by the National Oil Company (ENAP).
This time the price could go down by as much as 2.8%.
The new price cut will become official as of Thursday, December 18th and will be effective as of Wednesday, December 24th.
According to the company, which is controlled by Gasco and Copec, for consumption of 58m3 (which is equivalent to a 45 kilogram tank), the price will drop by 3.0%, taking it from $33,986 to $ 32,967 CLP.
Currently, a tank of liquid gas costs some $38,000 pesos.
