SANTIAGO.- For the second time this year, the "Twist" Production Company was robbed by a group of approximately five individuals who broke into the premises, located in the municipality of Providencia.
The first robbery had taken place on November 24th of this year, when thieves stole 10 million pesos in cash as well as a computer and destroyed everything in their path.
A neighbor that witnessed the robbery stated that he had been trying to reach police for half an hour, but claimed that the 133 emergency number was never answered and constantly gave him a busy signal. "The alarm went off, but when the thieves were already inside and practically already finishing the robbery. I saw the guys run out with plasmas and everything", the neighbor told Radio Cooperativa.
The owner of the production company, Claudio Droguett, again complained to authorities about the fact that the police emergency number had not worked.
"More than helplessness, now I feel anger because the neighbors called 133 and once again nobody answered. That says it all", stated Droguett.
The case has been turned over to the Theft Brigade of the Bureau of Police Investigations, which is currently searching for the suspects, who made off with close to seven million pesos worth of plasmas and computer equipment.
