TEMUCO.- Just after 9:00PM last night, two explosive artifacts were detonated outside a Unimarc supermarket located in the southern part of Temuco, just a few blocks from the Universidad de la Frontera.

The sound bombs had been placed in garbage bins and exploded almost simultaneously.  The Special Forces Unit of Police was dispatched to the scene to inspect the area.

It has been reported that the explosives were homemade and that there were no pamphlets or spray paintings present in the area alluding to the author of the attack.  The explosions caused alarm among supermarket employees and people passing through the area at the time of the incident.

At the beginning of November, an explosive artifact had been placed on an electrical post in the Pueblo Nuevo sector, located in the northern part of Temuco, while another bomb was detonated during the beginning of this month at the Temuco Criminal Defense Office, destroying a door and causing partial damage to windows of the building.

A warning had been issued for this latest incident by way of an E-mail that was sent to a local radio station by the self-proclaimed "Rebellious Youth and Insurrectional Rodrigo Cisternas".

The name indicated is that of a forest worker who died in 2007 during a confusing incident involving police in the Eighth Region.
