Accident in downtown Santiago leaves three people injured

SANTIAGO.- A traffic accident allegedly caused by speeding left three people injured this morning at the intersection of Calle Bandera and San Pablo.

According to Radio Cooperativa, one of the vehicles, the driver of which has been identified as Aldo Parra Arce, may have run a traffic light and subsequently collided with a truck.

After the crash, the truck flipped over, causing the three passengers inside to suffer multiple concussions and varying degrees of other injuries.

According to preliminary reports, those injured in the accident were 39 year-old Basilio Montecinos, 31 year-old Johanna Silva Mateluna and 45 year-old Elías Silva Silva.
