Police arrest teen accused of killing mini-market owner in San Bernardo

The boy entered the store along with two other teens.

SANTIAGO.- Officers belonging to the Bureau of Police Investigations have arrested a 16 year-old boy who is accused of murdering an elderly woman while robbing her mini-market on December 23rd in San Bernardo.


The incident took place on the corner of Colón and Sánchez de la Hoz, as 62 year-old Magaly del Carmen Kramer Calixto was tending to her small business and three teenagers entered to rob the store.


The boy arrested has been identified as having the initials R.O.M.A. and was identified as being the person who threatened the shop owner with a knife, allegedly "causing her injuries to the torso region that later resulted in her death in the hospital", stated Álvaro Astrosa of the Homicide Brigade.


The teenager will be booked on the charges later today.
