SANTIAGO. -  The Vice- president of the RN and Mayor of Puente Alto, Manuel José Ossandón, is not in agreement with the fact that Sebastián  Pinera´s campaign has criticized the presidential candidacy of Eduardo Frei, indicating that the business tycoon’s committee has made some errors.

“(His team) has made two major mistakes:  The first one was attacking Frei”, Ossandón told Radio Cooperativa while stating that the DC and the RN possess vast resources and “there is nothing wrong with having money”.

With regards to the fact that Eduardo Frei has become a target for recent criticism, the vice president of the RN said that the underdog (according to polls) should not be attacked stating, “the only thing that does is increase his popularity”.

Meanwhile, Ossandón asserted that the second mistake made by Piñera´s campaign committee was to propose a bill allowing members of Parliament to also become ministers saying, “that is completely ridiculous”.
