SANTIAGO.– The Police Investigative Unit (PDI) of Coquimbo executed one of the largest confiscations of pirated material ever to occur in the zone, seizing close to 12 thousand discs of video games, music and movies, valued at approximately $70 million CLP.

In the operative, police arrested 32-year-old Ángel Castillo Ventura in Coquimbo. The man had been in the possession of 200 compact discs with Playstation 2 video games, music and movies.

The law enforcement officials then moved on to La Serena, where they captured José Romero Espinoza, 33, from whom they confiscated 11,600 movie discs.

Both of the men are currently being held at the Huachalalume prison, awaiting the pressing of formal charges, which will reportedly take place tomorrow, as was reported by Radio Cooperativa.
