Two multiple collisions leave five injured on Autopista Central

Nine vehicles were involved in one of the accidents.

SANTIAGO.- Two multiple collisions along the Autopista Central highway left five people injured this morning.


The first crash occurred at the intersection with Avenida Puerto Montt, where nine vehicles were involved, six of which were compact cars.


Four people were wounded to varying degrees as a result of the first accident.


A second collision took place near the intersection with Avenida Santa María, where six vehicles were involved, two of which were trucks.


According to preliminary reports, the driver of one of the trucks may have lost control and crashed into the other, creating a domino effect.


As a result of the incident, the driver of the truck that reportedly caused the accident was left with an open fracture.
