VALENCIA.- Two kilos of highly pure cocaine camouflaged in a mail parcel from Chile that contained teapots, were intercepted by the Spanish Civil Guard in an operation that led to the arrest of one individual.

According to police, the investigation (which remains open) began months earlier, when authorities were tipped off about the possible existence of a network dedicated to bringing high-grade cocaine into the country through postal parcels.

After developing an operation to identify, locate and arrest the drug traffickers, the Civil Guard confiscated a postal package coming from Chile weighing a couple of kilograms.

Inside, authorities found several teapots as well as two kilos of high-grade cocaine.

The individual arrested, whose identity has not been revealed, is suspected to be the one responsible for organizing and receiving the packages.
