Chile Sub-17 team already has roster for South American Cup

Coach Cesar Vaccia has released a list with the 20 players who will participate in the tournament, which will take place in Iquique.

SANTIAGO.- The Chilean Sub-17 soccer team already has a roster of players set to take the field at the upcoming South American tournament for the category, scheduled to take place in Iquique.


The team's coach, César Vaccia, has released the list of 20 players that will participate in the championship.


Vaccia met yesterday with coaches of the major sub-17 soccer clubs to impart information about participating on the team, as well as the names of those who have been summoned for the event.


The event was attended by a majority of Santiago team coaches, as well as provincial affiliate trainers.


Chile will debut in the Sub-17 South American Cup on April 18th against Uruguay. The team will then face Argentina on the 21st, Ecuador on the 27th and Venezuela on the 30th of April. The winner of the group will directly classify to the World Cup in Nigeria, while the second and third place teams will play another match to determine who will qualify.
