SANTIAGO.- Despite the fact that the Universidad de Chile is scheduled to participate in a monumental clash against Gremio tonight as part of the Copa Libertadores tournament, the team has not forgotten about its arch-enemy: Colo Colo.
This Sunday the "U" will play against their rival during the 13th series of the Apertura tournament and, according to offensive player Juan Manuel Olivera, the match will be "very tough and complex".
The Uruguayan national has said "this will be a crucial week for our objectives, on both a local and international level".
According to Olivera, at his team’s match today against the Brazilians, "it will be fundamental to stay very concentrated and play well from the get-go".
Olivera also took advantage of the moment to analyze his squad's upcoming game against Colo Colo saying, "a classic is a different kind of match, where it would really hurt us to lose".
The offense player does not believe that Colo Colo's bad streak means that Coach Marcelo Barticciotto is on his way out. "It is part of soccer and you can judge these things, even though what is happening on Colo Colo is concerning, I think it is all going to pass".
