SANTIAGO.- An intensive search has led to the arrest of a second suspect in a burglary that took place at the residence of business executive Rafael Núñez in Las Condes last week. During the robbery, the assailants reportedly tied up and threatened Núñez' three small children.
According to Radio Cooperativa, police have arrested a 19 year-old boy (whose identity has not been revealed) who may have burglarized Núñez' home along with Carlos Tory Díaz, who was arrested yesterday, and a third suspect who remains at large.
After the violent break-in, Rafael Núñez offered to reward an undetermined amount of money to anyone who could offer information leading police to the assailants.
Preliminary reports indicate that the man arrested today may have participated in the 2005 robbery and murder of Uruguayan doctor Roberto Bianchi, who was with his children at a beach in Concón when three individuals entered his home and shot him in the head.
