Unión Española to name stadium sections after historic players

SANTIAGO.- They are currently leading the Apertura Tournament and the team coached by Jorge Segovia has finally made it back to the scoreboards to finish what it began in 2008.

Unión Española had decided to undergo a complete renovation since the owner of Universidad Sek took over, and novelties are especially evident in the team's structure, featuring the remodelling of the Santa Laura Stadium.

This week, the club began a process to determine the names that will be given to the northern and southern bleacher sections of the Plaza Chabuco complex from a list of four historic players.

"We invite you to participate in this poll because your opinion is important", declared the team. The club has placed a banner on its Internet web page that reads "Encuesta Online" to complete the poll, which will be posted for 15 days.

The options for names include Valentín Beperet, Hernán 'Nano' Fernández, Atilio Cremashi and Honorino Landa.
