SANTIAGO.- The Special Police Operations Group (GOPE) of Chiguayante, in the Bío Bío Region, is currently performing a major search for three children that have been reported missing.

According to Radio ADN, Francisco Jara (11), Daniel Concha (12) and Leonardo Vinés (13) were last seen yesterday afternoon before going to play soccer on Cerro Manquimávida.

For now, the families are primarily concerned that low night-time temperatures may cause the boys to suffer from hypothermia. "It is too cold, and he's wearing a t-shirt and shorts; very cold. You can just imagine the condition my son will be in if he spends the night on the hill", stated Sonia Arriagada, who is the mother of one of the children.

The search party includes a large number of officers, as well as tracking dogs and volunteers belonging to the Chiguayante Fire Department.
