SANTIAGO.- A Transantiago bus driver, identified as 42 year-old Eduaro Guillermo Sepúlveda Sánchez, died this morning after he was crushed by two buses in a confusing accident that took place in Pudahuel.

According to police, the incident took place at 7:10 AM, when the bus being driven by Sepúlveda was hit in the back end by a J-07 feeder bus driven by Rafael Faúndez Carvajal.

Following the collision, the drivers got out of their vehicles and began arguing in the street between the two buses.

Suddenly, a semi-truck driven by Germán Bahamondes González violently crashed into Sepulveda's bus, which did not have its service lights on at the time and was surrounded by thick fog in the area.

The impact caused the Transantiago bus to ram into the feeder bus, crushing both drivers and leaving them in critical condition.

Both Sepúlveda and Faúndez were taken to the Posta 3 medical facility where, despite doctors' efforts, Sepúlveda was pronounced dead. Faúndez is still alive and listed in critical condition.
