LONDON.- Copper closed today with a 2.43% jump at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after trading for $ 3.33164 U.S. dollars per pound of "grade A", compared to $ 3.25249 U.S. dollars on Thursday and $ 3.24999 U.S. dollars on Wednesday.
As a result, the yearly average reached $ 3.20843 U.S. dollars.
The future-3-month price ended at $ 3.32892 U.S. dollars per pound, up 2.36% from Thursday ($ 3.25226 U.S. dollars).
At the LME, stocks decreased by 975 metric tons, to 177,800. So far this year, an overall drop of 19,650 MT (-9.95%) has been accumulated.
