SANTIAGO.- Looking to partially revert the "impunity" that, in his opinion, led to Francisco Vidal's appointment to the position of Government Spokesperson, the Alliance will formally present him with a summoning next week to determine how he will be prosecuted with regards to the incidents of his previous position in government.

"We feel obligated to question him because, in some way, we want to be the ones to ask for explanations from the minister, since it wasn't possible to ask for them from the President", RN deputy Nicolas Mockeberg (the most likely candidate to perform the interrogation) indicated to Emol.

He added, "the Alliance doesn't want a minister who took responsibility 10 months ago (for the Chiledeportes scandal), to think that such errors come without a price".

The RN deputy also added, "it doesn't make any sense to take political responsibility for an action if I am going to be assigned to the same position for which I had to offer explanations. That would simply be a mocking of the Chilean people, an assumption that they are inept".
